There are a few places in Mobile Suit Gundam Seed where Kira Yamato faces certain death, is presumed dead by all the other characters, then miraculously reappears in a later episode. I'm curious about one particular incident, for now: His duel with Athrun and the Aegis. Athrun sets the Aegis to self destruct, attaches it to Kira's suit, and bails out to avoid the explosion.
Kira is a very typical main character. I don't particularly like him or hate him as a character. In my opinion he is better in Seed than Destiny, because in Destiny he is just basically Jesus (Jesus is kind of OP in the bible). In Seed at least he showed some emotion. Many people said they dislike Kira because he was flawless. That could very.
Kira Yamato is the civilian who soon becomes the pilot of the GAT-X105 Strike Gundam. He is not afraid to cry, risks things too much, and isn't afraid of screwing up. Later, he becomes the pilot of the legendary Freedom Gundam, and defies all laws of physics to save the day. He then gets the crap beaten out of him by Shinn Asuka. He later pilots an awesome Gundam which doesn't add up to laws.
